Join us on Sunday May 19th for our Medicinal Plants of the Southwest class.

In this course, we will explore the medicinal properties of some of the most common and powerful wild medicinal plants that grow in and around the Durango area.

During the lesson, you'll learn which local habitat each plant prefers, as well as basic plant identification. We’ll discuss how to safely and ethically forage wild plants and cover medicinal as well as culinary uses. Other topics will include herbal actions and energies as well as constituents.

The course will conclude with a hands-on lesson in making your own herbal oil infusion to take home.

Your class tuition fee includes:

  • All supplies and ingredients for our infusion project

  • A course booklet with all of the information covered

  • Printed recipe cards

  • A bottle of herb-infused oil prepared by you to take home

**Note that this class will be a precursor to the foraging class that will be scheduled sometime in June. Though it isn’t required, it will give you a lot of first-hand knowledge to bring with you on our foraging trip!
